areas to walk

Adding sidewalks. little rock needs to be more pedestrian friendly. I would love to bike to school but the roads are not wide enough to share with the cars.

Bicycle Friendly West Little Rock

Increasing access for bicyclists throughout Central Arkansas. Elect City officials who will promote alternative forms of transportation and support cycling as a means of transportation- especially in traffic congested West Little Rock. Transit Hubs

Focus on transit hubs. By linking major destinations in town by a major transit hubs, we can create a VISIBLE transit network. I commute (alone) from Sherwood to UALR every day. If there were a -prominent- park-n-ride type transit center in the McCain mall area, I'd park there and ride the bus to Two Rivers TC and then to UALR. Make candidates' actions and votes on "green" issues known and vote accordingly. Local officials and boards seem to consistently vote on the side of developers, not the citizens or the environment.

Biking in the Natural State

Movement: Biking...............promotes clean air, health and community!!!! We need more bike trails and roads need to be widened and kept CLEAN of debris! Promote rehabilitation of houses in historic downtown neighborhoods

Promote preservation and redevelopment of houses in Little Rock's historic downtown neighborhoods (and in all Central Arkansas towns, for that matter!). There are many vacant properties and lots in and around Central High School, MacArthur Park and the Governor's Mansion, just to name a few neighborhoods in close proximity to downtown.
