  1. On I30 just sw of the I430 junction, there is flooding which closes the freeway with large rains. Dredge out the creek area between the Geyer Springs Baptist Church and CalArk Trucking. Have hiking trails around the edges similar to the work planned for the area on the north side of "garbage mountain" south of Jacksonville. Audubon Arkansas give a good presentation showing that project and talking about what was done to the median area on Chenal Parkway in the vicinity of the Funeral Home, Big Red Valero and Kohl's in Western Little Rock.

There also needs to be holding ponds north of Alexander Road, east of Vimy Ridge so that road does not close from flooding so often. In Bryant there is flooding around a lot of homes. More low land holding ponds in strategic areas that double as playgrounds/walking/biking parks. The Forest Cove Watershed area is a good example of a need that the city has not been able to solve.

  2. Look at the development along the Saline River upstream from the water intake in Benton. Those people do not have a protected watershed.
